Episode 87
What Expansion Feels Like in Real Time
She's back! In this long-awaited return episode, Danielle talks openly about a season of personal and business expansion, and how it feels more tender and emotional than the word “expansion” might suggest. It's being in a period of repair, recovery, and healing, and she shares that this process has brought vulnerability, tears, and a sense of grief.
She explains it as the death of an older version of herself that once served as a protector but also settled for less and tried to fit into other people’s expectations and that growth can require letting go of people, patterns, and parts of our business that no longer fit the next stage.
Danielle also talks about sharing this experience in her mastermind and feeling a strong emotional release followed by a vulnerability hangover and emphasizes that people on a growth path are still allowed to unravel, break down, and feel like quitting, even while intentionally choosing the path.
She discusses the desire for simplicity when feeling overwhelmed, including fantasies about a slower life, and connects that to the impulse to avoid pressure and complexity. At the same time, our deeper calling keeps pulling us forward and does not let us stop growing for long.
